hi i am new to jetbackup
i have made a backup of a dir, i want to now take daily snapshots of new files, but when the next backup runs it seems to be doing a full backup of the dir again and not a snapshot (it is also set to Incremental
it says snapshot: false

Re: snapshot=false when doing daily schedule
Hello david77383,
The snapshot=false that you are seeing is in reference to "Snapshots" (in JetBackup 5 this was renamed to backup on demand) under Settings > Snapshots. Snapshot=false simply means that this backup is not a "Snapshot", but rather just a regularly generated backup. The following backup of the directory is indeed incremental, rather than running a full backup once again. Incremental backups in JetBackup only back up the data that was added or changed since the last backup was generated. However, viewing a particular backup will show you the state of the data when the backup was generated, rather than just the files that were added/changed.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out!
