I managed to fix the issue in the end by changing the root password in MySQL it seemed the previous password caused a problem for JBM.

When I try to restore a database from the user control panel I get:

Retrieve MySQL root password...FAILED
failed to get root password from .my.cnf file

~/.my.cnf exists and has the correct settings


Any suggestions?
