I read previous version of Synology DSM worked with JetBackup, however I cannot seem to get the latest DSM and JetBackup to work. Just says it cannot create directory. Has anyone been able to get it to work with rsync? (SFTP works just fine.)

Thank you!

Hi Slantgolf,

Thank you for submitting this query.

What JetBackup version are you using (you can get the current version by - `jetapps -i jetbackup`)?

On what protocol are you login into your drive at Synology DSM? And which Destination Type did you try to set it on JetBackup?

Regards.

Thanks Ofir for the reply,

Package: jetbackup
Available Tiers: stable-4.0.11 edge-4.0.12 beta-4.0.11
Current Tier: stable
Installed Version: 4.0.11-1
Auto Update: yes

I'm trying to use SSH (rsync I'm assuming)

Is there a log which I could see the command it's actually trying to issue?

Hi,

Can you please try to create a normal SSH connection via command line to that destination server?
(ssh -p SERVER_PORT USER@HOST)
Please share the screen with us as well.

Thank you.

Hello,
Is this what you're asking for?

ssh -p 22 admin@192.168.10.222
admin@192.168.10.222's password:
admin@DiskStation:~$

Thank you,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

After several tests, I have noticed that Synology DSM 5 is different than DSM 6+

It would be great if you could open a support ticket via https://www.jetapps.com/#contact,
and allow me to further investigate this.
(please mention that the ticket was opened according to this forum conversation).

Thank you,
Ofir.
