Installation-Database (Step 2)

Post by tame4tex »

Could someone please provide more information regarding this step...

Do I need to create the database and user first and then enter those details in this screen?

I tried creating a database and user through a standard cpanel account however the database username field is limited to 8 characters and cpanel adds the account username as a prefix to the database user?

I tried using the cpanel account user login but got a "Can't connect to the database"

Do I need to create a mysql user through the command line?

Anyway...more detailed database installation instructions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello,

if the .my.cnf file is exists on the root folder the installation will create the database for you,
if not you need to create the database manually.

you can open support ticket with the server login details and we will install the plugin for you.
