New backup taking more than one day

Post by rbr »

Jetbackup is uploading a 350 Gb site since Jan 4th. I've gone to logs. All email accounts have already been uploaded to destination.

The last log line is from yesterday at 6pm:

[04/Jan/2024 18:13:28 +0000] [PID 2759973] Uploading '/usr/local/jetapps/usr/jetbackup5/workspace/backup/657f19682374de438c4cdd82/[ACCOUNTNAME]_6595d5067bd2911d206673bf/jetbackup.configs/'
[04/Jan/2024 18:13:35 +0000] [PID 2759973] Upload 'jetbackup.configs' has been completed

However, if I go to Accounts -> select this site and click button View Backups, it shows no backup.

It seems to me that this job is complete, but it is still processing. Is it save to stop it?

Another question: this server has 220Gb free. Then, can my 350Gb site be backed up to S3? I suppose files are not sent at once as a single huge file, right? So 220Gb should be enough free space o backup a 350Gb site. Am I correct?

Hello rbr,

Thank you for your inquiry! To answer your first question, halting the backup procedure would cause the backup job to be marked as aborted, resulting in a failed backup process. Please allow JetBackup to complete the backup task before making any attempts to abort the process. However, If the backup duration has been running longer than usual, kindly open a ticket with our support team so we can further investigate the issue!

Regarding your second question, you can utilize our incremental backup structure to back up new and changed data from the previous backup to save space. For more information, please refer to our documentation in the following link.
