Error: The file has vanished

Post by dolphin »

Hello JetBackup Team,

I am currently experiencing an issue while performing a backup.

The backup job I configured is running to back up accounts from cPanel. However, one of the accounts in the queue is showing an error in the logs (as shown in the attached image) with the message "Error: file vanished." Additionally, I have attached another image with more details on the backup process.

How should I proceed with this issue? If I stop the job, this account will not have any backup.

I have not found any documentation regarding this error, and I am using S3 as the backup destination.

Thank you for your assistance!

Hello dolphin,

Thank you for your inquiry! The backup job fails to complete due to the lscache directory constantly adding/removing files. To mitigate this problem, kindly add the lscache directory to the "Directories and Files to exclude" list on your backup job. Additionally, you may find a list of recommendations for files/folders to exclude in our documentation:

https://docs.jetbackup.com/v5.3/adminpa ... %20Exclude

If you require further assistance, please email our support team at support@jetapps.com.

Best Regards,
